Cannot get it to show up on 1.5.0.1. I copied to the appropriate folders, cleared cache (both through backend and manually), and logged out and back in, clearing my browser cache as well. 26. FYI - for any of you who

FYI - for any of you who are still on Magento 1.3.x, there seems to be a minor display problem with this extension. Well, to be more precise, the problem is with Magento 1.3.x on the Invoice, Shipment, and Credit Memo list pages. If you go to Admin area - Orders - Invoices after installing this extension (the 2.0 version) all the new orders created will have "0" in the Invoice ID column. Same thing if you go to Admin area - Orders - Shipments and Admin area - Orders - Credit Memos.
The good thing is that the search by Invoice Id/Shipment Id/Credit Memo Id still works (by using the standard grid filter). The problem is purely a display problem on those list screens I think. I think it must be trying to treat them as numbers or something rather than a string. All other locations it seems they are displayed just fine, so this module is still usable on 1.3.x as long as you or your customers are willing to put up with the annoyance of those list screens.

Changing the title of the invoice to sales receipt can be achieved by our commercial extension pdf customiser. Yes the extension will keep all numbers in sync. 40. Kristof, I decided to post

    Kristof,

I decided to post my questions here even though I already emailed you so others might benefit from your answers. Additionally, I have added one question at the end.

In our situation, we use software that generates Sales Receipts, not Invoices because everything is paid for up front. Is there an easy way to simply change the name from Invoice to Sales Receipt in the backend? Additionally, being that our current sales receipt number is not at 1 but at SR15074, can we somehow change this so that we can set sales receipts with this letter/number designation and also add CR designation to the credit memos? Thank you in advance for taking time to answer.

ADDITIONAL: If I set all the numbers the same, your extension will keep them the same from here forward, correct? What happens if the order becomes a split shipment generating multiple shipping numbers?

Too bad it is incompatible w/ the Magneto API (as per your note) cause its a very useful extension that worked perfectly when I was doing test orders and paying by check - However when trying to test a real cc# got the following error: SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1048 Column 'increment_id' cannot be null. - FYI the payment actually went through to my account, but no order was created. i guess its back to various order, invoice, shipment #'s for me unless of course there is a new version/update in the work (hoping).

    As already mentioned by jellybabys.
@Ross: I only know german invoice requirements:
Invoice numbers just have to be unique. They do not have to have a consecutive numbering sequence. That is because if orders or invoices are canceled, the numbering sequence would be broken. The only case in which a consecutive numbering is required is for cash invoices.

Review by Chris52249 (Posted on 3/03/09) see the review on Magento Connect

  56. @Ross: Thanks for your feedback.

@Ross: Thanks for your feedback. The sequential order/invoice issue obviously needs to be assessed against individual accounting requirements. Magento currently only creates an invoice once a payment is made, essentially the invoice number in Magento is a payment id. This might or might not be what you need. The motivation for this extension is that we are currently working on automatically exporting the order data to an accounting software. The order then becomes an invoice with the same id. If an order is cancelled I would void the invoice in my accounting software keeping everything in sequence.

Review by FOOMAN (Posted on 3/03/09) see the review on Magento Connect

  57. I read somewhere that invoices

I read somewhere that invoices are supposed to have a consecutive numbering sequence (not sure how important it is though). This won't be possible because invoices won't be created for canceled orders.

It is possible to set different prefix codes for order and invoice numbers, which helps avoid confusion between them.
